Small, round, pale purple flower heads sit atop strap-like mid-green leaves in tidy clumps. Flowering from late summer into autumn, it attracts bees and butterflies.
Unlike bulb alliums, this is a perennial Allium that can be divided into sections and moved around the border. A great choice for edging a path or sunny border, it also makes an excellent container plant. Not particularly demanding, it grows best in free-draining soil in sun to part shade.
