Lamium maculatum ‘Beacon Silver’ bears whorls of dark pink flowers above silver, heart-shaped leaves in early summer. Commonly known as spotted dead nettle, this low-growing, semi-evergreen perennial forms a spreading mat, providing ground cover in shade or partial shade.
It grows well in reasonably fertile soil that is moist but well drained.
