Tiarella ‘Emerald Ellie’ (Fox Series) bears clusters of fluffy, star-like white flowers on slender stems from late spring into summer. Its attractively deeply lobed leaves have bold maroon markings at the centre, surrounded by fresh green edges, and it reliably forms a clump.
Use it to line a woodland path or underplant deciduous trees. It performs best in partial shade, with morning sun preferable to afternoon sun, but also flowers in full shade. It suits containers on the north or east side of a house and thrives in free-draining soil that retains some moisture. The foliage remains evergreen in milder winters.
